| Founded in 2006 by Anthony Fassero and John Ristevski, Berkeley-based earthmine inc is a 3D mapping company that is creating the next generation geospatial platform for the street level. The company is focused on indexing reality, creating a robust geospatial data mine of our urban environments comprised of high resolution imagery and high fidelity 3D data. This is achieved through a unique workflow that spans the entire process from data collection to the delivery of data to users via earthmine's APIs. earthmine's proprietary stereo panoramic capture hardware allows for data to be collected at regular driving speeds and utilizes algorithms developed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory allowing rich, dense and accurate 3D data to be derived from the imagery. |

| Through earthmine's developer focused products, the Flash Viewer API and Direct Data API, the platform supports a variety of existing and emerging geospatial applications. Just as satellite and aerial imagery providers have enabled broad consumer interest in accurate geospatial content for users of personal computers, personal navigation devices (PND's) and GPS enabled smartphones, earthmine provides solutions for the next evolution in geospatial applications. The company's highly scalable technology for collecting, processing and online delivery of immersive and accurate three dimensional data for entire cities is an order of magnitude improvement over conventional mapping technologies. This rich data set, when combined with a broadly accessible interface, enables a true connection between information and places, providing a new framework for the geoweb. |
